What Is Fine Blanking Process?

Fine blanking is a kind of material processing method developed on the basis of blanking, which is known for its precision, efficiency, and ability to produce high-quality parts at a relatively low cost. It is through improving the guiding accuracy, reducing the gap between the die and the die, increasing the reverse pressure and V-ring blank holder and other technological measures, resulting in the realization of precision stamping under the condition of strong three-way compressive stress. It can be used to produce a wide range of parts, including gears, bearings, washers, and other components with complex shapes and features.

The formation process of fine blanking parts is roughly divided into the following steps:

1. The sheet metal or strip is first prepared and placed on the press.

2. The die is then mounted on the press and aligned with the sheet metal or strip.

3. When the press is in operation, the die is pressed onto the sheet metal or strip to form the desired shape of the part.  This process requires a very high degree of precision and control to ensure the size and shape of the part.

4.  After the part formation process is complete, it can be removed from the punching machine for subsequent processing and treatment, such as cutting, bending, welding, etc.
